Dear Reader- Sometimes I am late to the ball game… ya know when everyone else (or at least a lot of people) seem to know something awesomely cool and then you just discover it… Enter Cake Mix Cookies into my life… As a daughter of a former cake decorator, I was ALWAYS in awe of the cake mix aisle… all the flavors… all the choices… I was always shocked that brides would always choose chocolate or white cake over flavors like cherry chip or orange… http://goodenessgracious.com/2011/12/3-christmas-cookie-recipes-using-cake-mixes.html

3 Christmas Cookie Recipes Using Cake Mixes - GOODEness Gracious

Today’s recipe is a cheesy baked pasta that I found over at Our Best Bites . Sara based the recipe on a Martha Stewart recipe. This yummy dish consists of a cheesy pasta blended with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms. Now I know the sun-dried tomatoes aren’t something most of you probably keep on had, so you could just leave them out if you like. http://realmomkitchen.com/1505/baked-cheesy-chicken-penne/

Crock Pot Applesauce

I've mentioned before, I love my produce co op, but I think my apples have been multiplying in the drawer of the fridge. I've been debating about making some apply desserts, but that would just be to tempting to eat. Apple Butter is great for using up apples, but my son has been on an applesauce kick, so I thought this would be a treat for him to make our own. I had about 4 different kinds of apples on hand, which makes for better applesauce.

Before we talk burgers, let me tell you what I’m doing. I’m eating some blueberry yogurt pretzels (which are oh-so awesome… but would be even awesomer if they were really coated in yogurt and not white chocolate disguised as yogurt) and drinking a san pellgrino aranciata that is spiked with um… vodka, malibu and tequila. With those pretty perfectly square ice cubes. I know.

Pecan Pie Bars

November 23, 2011 Pecan Pie Bars We’re less than 24 hours away from the biggest food day of the year, when our stomachs face off against tryptophan and our skinny jeans get the heave-ho in favor of sweatpants. Are you ready? I’m just about to board a plane to head home to San Diego, where my parents have been feverishly at work ironing table runners, writing place cards, and preparing to welcome a dozen family members and friends at our Turkey Day table. The infrared turkey fryer has been fetched from its spot in the garage.

Salt & Turmeric: Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

Is it just me or it is hard to get back to posting after a very long weekend? Well, Thanksgiving was good. Our friends, Shirley and Kevin came to celebrate it with us. We did not have any turkey this year but that does not mean we did not have lots of food. We had hot roast beef sandwiches, Cheesy Garlic Biscuits, sushi, potato salad, coleslaw, yeemee noodles and even a few vodka shots. ;) Loading Groupon

Peeta's Stuffed Cheese Buns

Sorry I keep making a bunch of Peeta food. You may recall the goat cheese and apple tart from when The Hunger Games came out in theaters. Don't hate, but I'm not actually on "team Peeta". I mean, don't get me wrong, Peeta's a cool person and everything, but Peeta and I are like... the same person.
