Bonjour et bienvenue sur ces pages, Vous trouverez dans les différentes rubriques (Burning Fields, Japan...) quelques uns de mes travaux photographiques. Ils comprennent généralement un plus grand nombre d’images, j'ai fait le choix d'en montrer l'essentiel. Les photographies ne peuvent pas être considérées comme des signes au sens courant, mais comme toutes les images elles sont indissociables du langage. Quelques notes de travail, dispersées au fil du temps et qui n’étaient pas destinées à être publiées, trouvent tardivement ici une place.

Le travail photographique de Laurence Demaison est exclusivement constitué d’autoportraits (sauf série "Radiopthérapie" et "Si j'avais su" ). Les techniques utilisées – prise de vue, développement, tirage – sont argentiques et réalisées par l’auteur. Aucune manipulation particulière n’intervient au-delà de la prise de vue (sauf inversion chimique des films pour certaines séries) The photographic work of Laurence Demaison is exclusively constituted by self-portraits (except "Radiothérapies" and "Si j'avais su"). The used techniques - shot, development, print - are analogicals and realized by the author.

Il va aussi réaliser un important corpus de portraits de célébrités : acteurs, cinéastes, écrivains… Servi par une technique sans failles, il va aussi développer une démarche purement créative dans le cadre de commandes institutionnelles comme les travaux qu’il a réalisés pour la Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain.
Born in 1961 and completing her degree in Audio Visual studies at The Surrey Institute, Farnham in 1986, Anna Fox has been working in photography and video for over twenty years. Influenced by the British documentary tradition and US 'New Colourists' her first work Workstations (published by and exhibited first at Camerawork, London 1988) observed, with a critical eye, London office culture in the mid Thatcher years. Later work documenting weekend wargames, Friendly Fire , was exhibited in the exhibition Warworks at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Netherlands Foto Institute and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. Her solo shows have been seen at The Photographer's Gallery, London, The Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago and her work has been included in numerous international group shows - Through the Looking Glass, Centre of the Creative Universe: Liverpool and the Avant-garde and How We Are: Photographing Britain amongst others.

In that Empire, the Art of Cartography attained such Perfection that the map of a single Province occupied the entirety of a City, and the map of the Empire, the entirety of a Province. In time, those Unconscionable Maps no longer satisfied, and the Cartographers Guilds struck a Map of the Empire whose size was that of the Empire, and which coincided point for point with it. The following Generations, who were not so fond of the Study of Cartography as their Forebears had been, saw that that vast Map was Useless, and not without some Pitilessness was it, that they delivered it up to the Inclemencies of the Sun and Winters. In the Deserts of the West, still today, there are Tattered Ruins of that Map, inhabited by Animals and Beggars; in all the Land there is no other Relic of the Disciplines of Geography .
