S'mores Bites - Two Ways. With a Kiss… or with a Rolo, take your pick! Seriously, dessert doesn’t get any easier than this! This definitely has got to be one of my easiest recipes yet, and cutest =). They can be made in 5 minutes or less and they taste just like a S’more, or upgraded S’more if you use Rolo’s. These are the perfect way to be able to enjoy a S’more in the comfort of your home even in the winter time. For best results just be sure to eat them right after toasting to get that gooey, toasted, authentic S’mores goodness. Ingredients 6 graham cracker sheets*, or 12 Saltine or Ritz Crackers 6 large marshmallows 12 Hershey's Kisses or Rolos, unwrapped Directions Break graham cracker sheets in half, then cut each half into a circle using a 2 1/4" circle fondant cutter or metal cookie cutter (if using Saltine or Ritz Crackers no cutting needed).

Notes. Homemade Snickers Bars. Insanity. That’s what this is. Pure In.San.It.TEEEEE. You know those days when you’re in desperate need of sugar and you’ve already downed more gummy vitamins than recommended while seriously considering how many more you can ingest without causing severe harm to your internal organs? They’re just so gooooood. Well… in that case you should make some homemade snickers bars. And I KNOW you know what I’m talking about. I spent the majority of my pre-pubescent and adolescent years scheming just how I would be able to steal my brothers’ Halloween candy.

Then I went through a SERIOUS phase of those Snickers ice cream bars. And that you can eat a million of them. These days, it’s rare that I crave actual candy, often preferring some chewy cookies or super rich cheesecake or a bar of amazing chocolate that costs thrice as much as the recent organic meyer lemons I purchased. They are the peanut butter to my jelly. The salt to my pepper. The broccoli to my… wait, no. And the fabulous part? Nougat layer. Stromboli. After taking the photo for our sausage stuffed shells recipe, I scrambled into the kitchen to grab plates, knifes, forks and napkins — you know, like any normal person would do before sitting down to have a nice meal with their husband.

Just as I was leaving the kitchen, I realized something. I left the shells with Adam. Alone. How he did it, I’m not sure, but in the time it took me to go to the kitchen, grab our supplies and get back to him, he had finished at least half of the shells. Being someone who likes to look on the bright side of life, that made me think the recipe was a success and as Adam mentioned to me just after his last stuffed shell, hey, maybe we can say these are finger food! So, there you go. Serve these stuffed shells as the main event or serve as finger food — while the the filling is not dry, it really isn’t overly soft either, so taking a bite doesn’t leave you with a mess. How to make Our Sausage Stuffed Shells Recipe with Spinach Now, on to the filling.

Yield: 4. Black Magic Cake… Originally I had not planned on blogging this cake, but after the rave reviews from co-workers, I figured it was a must! I made this late Sunday evening and could not get around to photographing it because the ganache had not thoroughly set up before I went to bed. The next morning, it was boxed up and taken to feed the co-workers. I managed to cut one reserve piece before I dashed out of house, just in case it needed to be photographed. Typically when I make cakes, I like to post a photo of the whole cake and then a piece of the sliced cake; however, my snooze hitting ways did not allow me to do this today.

However, this cake was so good I had to post it despite the absent photographs. I was introduced to this cake via a cooking/baking forum; it was receiving rave reviews, so of course I had to hop on the bandwagon and give it a try. Apparently the coffee is used to bring out the flavor of the chocolate – making it more prominent as opposed to flat and one dimensional. Ingredients: Ham & Cheese Pretzel Bites. Photo Credit: Sarah Fernandez I have such fond memories of making homemade ice cream in the summer when we were kids. We used to go pick fresh strawberries and blackberries and then come home and pull out the electric machine and load in the ingredients. Watching the ingredients solidify into a delicious dessert had our eyes glued to the spinning bowl. I keep wanting to do it with my kids, and that old machine is still sitting at my parents house for us to use, but it always seems like such a production to pull it out so I was thrilled when I came across a recipe for how to make individual servings of ice cream using just a few ingredients, zip top bags, and a little man power. Photo Credit: Sarah Fernandez Ingredients:1/2 cup whole milk or cream (you can use 1 or 2% milk, but you will get some crystalization due to the water content)1 tbsp sugar1 tsp vanilla extract6 tbsp Kosher salt2 cups ice Supplies:1 quart size zip top bag 1 sandwich size zip top bag Step 2: Now for the fun part!
