Does Death Exist? Such a question might seem inappropriate for the Sci/Tech section but, relax, I'm not going to talk about religion and the afterlife, I'm going to talk about quantum mechanics. Or more precisely, the consequences of certain popular interpretation of quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics is first of all a mathematical tool for predicting the results of all sorts of experiments. This tool happens to be incredibly accurate - its predictions fit the facts extremely well. However, when people start wondering about the actual significance of what they're doing, things get tricky.

One of the most popular interpretations however, and which is now supported by the proponents of String Theory (one candidate for the so called grand-unified theory - of quantum mechanics and gravity), is that the mathematics of quantum mechanics actually reflects reality itself. This may sound like rubbish (if it weren't for the experiments). Image credits: Touch of Death #3 cover, G.W. List of colors. The following is a list of colors. A number of the color swatches below are taken from domain-specific naming schemes such as X11 or HTML4. RGB values are given for each swatch because such standards are defined in terms of the sRGB color space. It is not possible to accurately convert many of these swatches to CMYK values because of the differing gamuts of the two spaces, but the color management systems built into operating systems and image editing software attempt such conversions as accurately as possible.

The HSV (hue, saturation, value) color space values, also known as HSB (hue, saturation, brightness), and the hex triplets (for HTML web colors) are also given in the following table. Colors in alphabetical order A-F[edit] For the continuation of the list of colors, please go to List of colors: G-M#Colors. January 1, 2015. Preface For over a decade I have taught an introductory, undergraduate class, "Einstein for Everyone," at the University of Pittsburgh to anyone interested enough to walk through door. With each new offering of the course, I had the chance to find out what content worked and which of my ever so clever pedagogical inventions were failures.

At the same time, my lecture notes have evolved. This text owes a lot to many. I i i. List of common physics notations. Relativity: The Special and General Theory by Albert Einstein.
