Richard Avedon (Esquire), Marilyn Monroe, 1957 A l’entrée de l’exposition sur le photomaton du Musée de l’Élysée à Lausanne (jusqu’au 20 mai), le visiteur peut se faire tirer le portrait dans un des rares photomatons argentiques encore en fonctionnement, datant des années 1930 et importé des États-Unis (collectif 312photobooth ) pour la durée de l’exposition. Sur la paroi, on peut lire « Children photograph perfectly regardless of how much they move » (ci-dessous); l’ambiguïté sémantique de ce verbe ‘to photograph’ me semble emblématique de cette exposition : sont-ce les enfants qui photographient ? ou sont-ils ceux qui sont photographiés ?techniques
