Frosted Phrase Vase DIY So, I guess I've developed a bit of a vase collection over the years that I currently keep stashed under my kitchen sink cabinet. While it is convenient to have lots of different sizes and shapes on hand, I have to admit that they are all relatively plain. Nothing cool, nothing special—just regular old glass vases. That's about to change!
Happy Friday! Although I started my Christmas shopping early(ish) this year, I still have a few missing presents. Now, stores and malls are overcrowded, and shipping deadlines for most online shops have passed. Darn procrastination! 60 DIY Accessories- Last Minute Gifts For Fashionistas

DIY Ribbon Bow Necklace Happy Friday! I'm ending the week with a little DIY project. I used the same fabric stiffener as in my last DIY post, in which I officially declared my love for that product! This project is just as quick and easy as the previous one, if not easier.
Using your sewing machine to sew paper and fabric together is surprisingly easy. Since I'd never tried it myself, I thought I'd start with a project that wasn't too complicated. It's a satisfying way to use up little scraps of pretty fabrics. Valentines: Sewn Paper and Fabric Card
painted fish studio » Blog Archive » pARTy : lights last friday was pARTy night, and 5 of my wonderful friends came over and we decorated ikea grono lamps. i am in awe of the creativity — the lights are just amazing! it’s always so fun to see what my friends come up with when we get together to create. (i just wish the photos would do them justice!) i’ve got detailed descriptions of the lights and more photos after the jump… each person (except for me and jaime) worked on 2 lights. we all focused on paper as the main decorative element. rather than glue the paper to the glass, we used gel matte medium — it’s a little more forgiving when it comes to placement than glue is, and it dries clear. it does take a while to dry, though, and anna had to resort to using a hair dryer, otherwise she may have spent the night on my couch!

22nd October 2012 Although these days most of the clothing projects I do involve my sewing machine, it would be wrong to think that you must have a sewing machine in order to make beautiful pieces that you can be proud of. That’s why today I am going to show you how to make a super simple skirt by hand. Many of you will know how to make this simple shape already, but for those of you who are starting out and don’t yet have a sewing machine – I’m going back to basics for you. Transformed :: Metallic Brick Bookends Remember two weeks ago when I asked for opinions on which bookends I should DIY at home? Well, I wasn’t completely surprised to see an almost unanimous vote in both the comments and on twitter for the gold bricks. For my project, I took inspiration from the elements you all loved about those book ends, then made them a little more “Claire” by adding feminine lace detailing. Want to know how to make a pair to decorate your own stylish shelving?
My apologies for being MIA this week. It was my partner's birthday yesterday (turning 30! I still can't believe it). I wanted everything to be perfect (or at least, the best possible) and it took me more work and time than I initially thought. I apologize. DIY Galaxy Necklace
Just in time for the holidays! Kelli Murray shows us how to make your own ornaments and gift tags using oven bake clay! Supplies: Sculpey oven bake clay, rolling pin, bakers twine, paint (I only used black), cookies cutters, paint pen and paint brushes.
