Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread in a Bundt Pan. Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread in a Bundt Pan Hubby and I have some super creative friends. One of these friends decided to host a “Bundt Off”. Apparently there had been a discussion about what makes a bundt a bundt. They decided it would be appropriate to have a cooking contest that revolved around the bundt pan. The only rule for the competition was that whatever you made, it had to hold the shape of a bundt pan when turned out onto a plate.

I searched through all my favorite blogs for bundt cake recipes and saw some great ones out there. I finally decided to combine two of my favorite breakfast foods into one bundt-tastic treat: The Cinnamon-Roll Monkey-Bread Bundt. Hubby grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos as I was assembling my bundt. I topped the bundt with some cream cheese frosting. Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread Bundt with Cream Cheese Frosting. Candy cane swirl cake. Ever since I had my first one, sitting in front of a roaring campfire with a semi-clean stick skewered with lots of toasting marshmallows, I have been a big fan of s’mores. If I could go back in time, only thing I’d do differently now is to use a really clean skewer for my marshmallows, but when you’re camping and very young, you don’t tend to think about those things. I still like classic s’mores made with squares of milk chocolate, store bought graham crackers and jet puffed marshmallows. Now that my culinary skills are a little improved, however, I do like to experiment a little bit and see how I can get even more flavor out of my s’mores.

Homemade graham crackers and homemade marshmallows are great examples of small changes. A big change is to turn a simple s’more into a S’mores Cake. You don’t need a campfire for this cake, but you do need an oven. The milk chocolate frosting – chosen because the typical s’more uses milk chocolate – is almost like a milk chocolate ganache. I can probably attest some of this animal print tolerance to my sister, she’s so stylish sometimes that it kills me. ;) I’m not sure what kind of demographic I reach out there in internet land, animal print lovers or haters, but I’m sure your love or hatred won’t apply to this cake.
