Religious Studies

This four-unit specification encourages students to reflect on and develop their own values, opinions and attitudes in the light of their learning. Students will have an opportunity to study aspects of one or more religions, including textual, theological, historical, ethical, phenomenological and philosophical perspectives. Our specification offers a comprehensive range of options which enables teachers to design a course that reflects their specialism and will engage students.

A wide choice of topics is offered for study in the areas of ethics, philosophy of religion, the world religions, aspects of Christianity, religion and art, religion and contemporary society. This course is particularly suitable for students who have studied Religious Studies at GCSE but no prior knowledge of Religious Studies is required.
