Accusare gli smartphone? – Pietro Gavagnin.

Dieci usi dello smartphone nelle mie lezioni.

Excellent Web Tools and iPad Apps to Enhance Students Reading Comprehension. May , 2014 Reading is one of the basic literacy skills that has been the focus of all pedagogic approaches to literacy.

From the " return to the basics" to "multiliteracies", all of these movements have put huge premium on teaching reading skills with each one of them viewing it from a different angel. Traditional didactic literacy pedagogies , as Kalantzis and Cope argued in their wonderful book "Literacies", drew heavily on synthetic approach to learning to read. This approach stresses the importance of learning to read the written word with sound -letter correspondences, or the ways in which the sounds of speaking are transcribed in alphabetical writing. What is worth noting here, however, is that any of these approaches per se is not enough to provide answers to the reading problems early readers face while learning to read. A combination of these approaches into an encompassing literacy framework is more likely to meet students reading needs.

iPad Apps for Reading Comprehension. A Rubric to Grade Students iPad Projects. July, 2014 Today's post features a practical rubric to use in class to grade your students iPad projects. This rubric ,which I learned about through Techchef4u, is created by Lisa and Mrs. Greathouse to help them "ensure that students would not just do the bare minimum while rewarding those who went above and beyond". As you can see below, the rubric features 4 key criterion to base your grading on. These are content, writing process, layout, and graphics. Each of these criterion is assessed against a scale from 1 point (incomplete) to 4 points (exemplary).

You might want to use this rubric to grade the projects your students do using iPad. It can also be a good model to help you design your own rubric that meets your own teaching needs. 9 Practical Ways to Use your iPad in Teaching. The ability to work with iPads right on the desks of students makes them a powerful classroom tool. Over the past couple of years, I have had the awesome opportunity as a principal and teacher to be part of a school that adopted iPads on a 1:1 device to student ratio. I went into the program unsure if iPads would be as effective of a classroom device as traditional laptops, but have become convinced that the iPad offers more for classrooms than traditional desktop or laptop computers.

Here are the ten reasons I why I have found iPads to be the perfect classroom tool. 1 – Price At $499 for the newest iPad or $399 for the iPAd 2, the iPad is cheaper than many traditional laptop or desktop computers.
