IT'S ALL TOO MUCH. The Beatles - It's All Too Much (Long Version) Let It Be. Let It Be is the twelfth and final studio album released by the English rock band the Beatles.

Let It Be

It was released on 8 May 1970 by the band's Apple Records label shortly after the group announced their break-up. Despite a mixed review from Rolling Stone magazine at the time of its release, the album was ranked number 86 in the magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003. This was, however, adjusted to #392 in the 2012 version.[2] Let It Be... Naked was released in 2003, an alternative version of the album stripping much of Phil Spector's production work and using some different versions of songs.

History[edit] Concept[edit] McCartney also decided to invite producer/engineer Glyn Johns to contribute to the recording. Conflicts[edit] Twickenham rehearsals[edit] Since all the rehearsals were to be filmed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg and his film crew, the decision was made to use a film studio for rehearsals and the sound stage at Twickenham Studios was chosen. The Beatles in Comics

The Beatles were only together for a decade, yet they remain the most massive and enduring phenomenon in music culture some four decades after their breakup. On the heels of the Fab Four’s final photo shoot comes Beatles in Comic Strips (public library), edited by journalist and music critic Enzo Gentile — a fantastic collection of more than 200 rare cartoon strips dedicated to John, Paul, George, and Ringo, released this week on the fiftieth anniversary of their first single, “Love Me Do,” and joining the ranks of other fine graphic nonfiction. Reconsidering the Beatles at Their Psych Height with ‘Magical Mystery Tour’

Most of us still love the Fabs, but try to sit through their 1967 movie and you’ll regret losing about an hour of your life. It’s telling that in this video age, it’s only now that Magical Mystery Tour gets a re-release and a PR push, which their label and management has been brilliant at over the last decade as they resell their catalog again and again. Regardless, Magical Mystery Tour now gets lumped it in the dubious category of crappy movies with great soundtracks like Less Than Zero, Judgment Night, One from the Heart and Singles. It didn’t have to be that way though. About one year before the movie, Macca had a wonderfully child-like idea, straight out of a Mickey Rooney movie: “Let’s pretend that we’re another band and put on a big show!” The Beatles: inducted in 1988.
