Auroras. In September 1999, I moved from Germany to Bodø, Northern Norway. Since then, I have been very keen on the aurora, which I had never seen before. I had read about the phenomenon, but didn't know much more than that it existed. I could never have imagined something so fantastic! I was surprised that it was so big, and that it often moved so quickly. After a while, I wanted to take pictures of the aurora. During summer, it does not get dark up here, so the aurora is not visible. During the next season, which started in September 2001, I did not only get more experience, but also two new lenses.

Another good aurora season - especially October was great: Aurora Autumn 2002 - Spring 2003 My newest pictures are not on my homepage yet, but you can find some of them at my gallery at the Solar Terrestrial Dispatch: My Gallery To my homepage Guestbook.
