To start, double click your layer to bring up the Layer Effects dialog. Now, in order to add another drop shadow effect, we have to separate the first one from the layer. When you do this, the visual appearance of your document won’t change, but you Layers palette will. Now that the text layer doesn’t have any effects applied, we can go in and add another shadow.
