Interlude 02

So I have to do a monkey dance for you this week, while Paul gets his machine fixed and then adds the finishing touches to the next episode. First off, I should mention that I’m in Chicago next week. I am in fact guest of honour at the Wizard World Chicago convention, held June 26 to 29 in Rosemont (which is apparently some mall-come-moonbase several miles outside Chicago, placed specifically to prevent me seeing anything of interest). Therefore, I’m kind of up against it in terms of deadlines myself, so this fill-in piece will be less lengthy and original than I’d like. But, hell, you’re not getting charged for it, right?
Bit of a different flavour this week, I thought it would be interesting to get the opinions of a panel of engineers on a much larger question about our society. Obviously, none of the panellists are experts on sociology, geopolitics or economics, but it’s definitely interesting to gather different perspectives from around the world.

Haha, this happened to Yuko more than once on the West coast! People seem to be super friendly and ready to compliment and chat with you, which startled us. It was nice and we got used to it!
