Jawboneというと日本では骨伝導のBluetoothヘッドセットやBluetoothスピーカーを販売していて、Bluetooth関連製品中心の会社だと思っていたのですが、今回の「UP」にはBluetoothは使われていません。 製品としてはリストバンドとそれに連動するiPhone用ソフトウェアから成っています。 製品パッケージ写真は以下です。 海外製品にありがちなブリスターパッケージではないのが好感が持てます。 このマニュアルでは何が何やらわかりませんので、できればメーカーサイトからPDFのマニュアルをダウンロードしておいた方が良いでしょう。 さて、このUPでできる事ですが、大雑把にいうと以下の3つです。 睡眠、歩数、食事等の日々の活動の様子をトラッキングできる。

順番に各機能を見てゆきますと、 1. 1).スリープモード:睡眠の状態を監視して記録します。 このスリープモードでは単に睡眠の状態を記録するだけでなく、目覚ましの機能も提供してくれます。 ただし、目覚ましの時刻設定は一つしかできません。 2).アクティブモード:これはほぼ単純に万歩計です。 3).ワークアウトモード:このモードは実際に使った事が無いので詳細は分かりませんが、マニュアルによるとランニングやハイキングなど一定の時間内の歩数やカロリー消費量を確認する時に利用するとあります。 4).食事管理:これはリストバンド側には全く関係なくUPアプリ側で食事する毎に写真を撮影してアプリに記録してゆきます。 また、登録後しばらくするとアプリから食事のレーティング(「良い」とか「普通」とか5段階から選べます)を聞いてきます(上の写真の右したの黄色い顔のマークです)ので、登録してやります。 Genetic Testing for Health, Disease & Ancestry; DNA Test - 23andMe.
