Ohhh, wait, in its own way, it did, that was the title of my sharing yesterday. But do you think I even thought for a moment it applied to the field of readings…. ohhhhh nooooooo!! By the time I closed out my 4th connection for the day (I had five scheduled) I was toast. Burnt toast no less! Before I could even connect to a reading, I had to do some fancy footwork to bring the energy of the Mesa here to my son’s house.

It was the subject of myth and legend in almost every culture on the planet. As the Pleiades cluster is close to the ecliptic (within 4°) in the constellation of Taurus it is a spring and autumnal 'seasonal' object in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Being close to the ecliptic, there are frequent occultations of the cluster with the Moon and planets. To our superstitious ancestors these were, no doubt, portentious events. The stars in the constellation we know as Orion make such an obvious figure that just about every civilization, including Indigenous Peoples, have created mythology about the constellation.
Here in the north it is our winter buddy, and it is highest in the sky around now, showcased since the Winter Solstice of December 21. Orion’s stars are features of Lakota astronomy, though as a chief, not as a hunter, and the three stars of the belt are a bison’s spine, according to Lakota Ethnoastronomy at Florida International University.

The Shadow is the place where everything we have forgotten, denied, rejected or not yet discovered goes to live. The greater the denial of one’s darkness, taboo, or ‘negative emotions,’ the more fertile the breeding ground for fear, shame, depression, violence and anxiety. Now if you add public power to that equation, you are in for real trouble.
