Dalí + Disney = Destino - Kebweb.tv. Bien que leurs univers étaient fort différents, les légendaires Walt Disney et Salvador Dalí se vouaient une admiration réciproque.
En 1945, lors d'une rencontre, ils décidèrent de matérialiser leur admiration en une véritable collaboration. Salvador Dalí entrepris alors à développer avec John Hench, le portraitiste officiel de Mickey Mouse, un film inspiré d'une chanson mexicaine qui était elle-même inspirée de l'oeuvre de Dali. Un film qui selon Disney serait « une simple histoire d'une jeune fille à la recherche de l'amour véritable » et selon Dalí « une démonstration magique du problème de la vie dans le labyrinthe du temps ». Dalí et Hench s'affairèrent pendant plus de huit mois (de 1945 à 1946) à produire dans le plus grand secret ce film intitulé Destino. Mais, puisque le projet était jugé économiquement non viable et que Disney était en forte difficulté financière suite à la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, le projet fut suspendu pour une durée indéterminée.
