Tenant compte de l’évolution rapide des technologies, nous souhaitons informer, assister et former les enseignant·e·s à l'introduction de robots à l'école comme outils pédagogiques complémentaires, en étant à l'écoute de leurs besoins, leurs désirs et leurs idées. Tout d’abord, la robotique constitue un excellent domaine pour la mise en application d’une démarche scientifique expérimentale.Il est ainsi possible de demander aux élèves d'observer un objet, d'émettre des hypothèses quant à son fonctionnement, de trouver des moyens de vérifier ces dernières pour les amener à comprendre, en grande partie par eux-mêmes, les capacités du robot.

Cette démarche a aussi l’avantage de rendre évidents les liens entre le fonctionnement externe du robot (ses possibilités d’agir) et son fonctionnement interne (les phénomènes physiques qui le rendent capable d’agir). I design everyday products like washing machines and robotic vacuum cleaners, and teach courses in Smart Objects at the University of Pennsylvania and the School of Visual Arts.
