As I mentioned in previous posts, my husband loves blueberries! Because of this, I absolutely had to try this recipe. After scoping out my refrigerator and cupboards last night I realized that I had all of the ingredients so I got to work and made this delicious treat. The recipe was first posted by Thibeault's Table Blog, who believes that "recipes are meant to be shared" . . . I couldn't agree more! Ingredients: 1/4 cup melted butter1/2 cup brown sugar2 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)1 tablespoon lemon juice1/2 cup butter2/4 cup granulated sugar1 egg1 teaspoon vanilla1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)3/4 cup milkDirections:In a 9 inch square cake pan, combine melted butter and brown sugar, spread evenly on bottom.

It’s only taken me nine years of marriage to come up with the idea of combining his favorite ice cream with his favorite dessert. I was both pleasantly surprised and quite dismayed to realize that cookies and cream cheesecake is quite possibly the best dessert out there. Pleasantly surprised because I’m normally not a fan of cookies and cream unless it’s just a plain ol’ Oreo and dismayed because I couldn’t stop sneaking into the kitchen to take just one more bite. This cheesecake is dangerous. That’s okay though, because life is pretty boring without a bit of danger.

They didn’t stop this cake from tasting amazing. although i thought i had triumphed in the face of defeat, i quickly learned that it’s never too late for baking tragedy to strike. making a rookie mistake, i tried to remove the cake from the tube pan before it had completely cooled. to my horror, the following happened. any sensitive readers or children may want to turn away from the screen. thankfully, the cake still tastes unbelievable. enjoy, but don’t make the same mistake i did! Then again I’ve never met a batch of cake batter, brownie batter, or cookie dough that I didn’t love to snag a few tastes of. Plus, it’s summer and it’s hot. And I’d rather drink my cake than turn on the oven and bake one. Have your cake and eat it, too. Have your cake and drink it, too. But it really doesn’t have to be summer to drink cake batter. There are a bit like my Brownie Covered Oreo’s from last Christmas but enhanced with layers of peanut butter and a double decker stack of Oreos in each little brownie cake.
