Freeware Design Programs
In a previous post I gave you a list of 85+ Free Killer Resources Every Designer Should Know, which had a great response. Now, in the same line, I have brought together 45 Freeware Design Programs among literally thousands and thousands. It was a great quest, and it was worth it.
Overview Overview There are files from all kinds of sources that we want to store and manage. Files are created by our digital cameras, e-mail, cell phones, portable media players, camcorders, PDAs, and laptops. Increasingly, computer users are using different folders, drives, and even different computers (such as a laptop and a desktop) to store, manage, retrieve and view files. Yet managing hundreds or thousands of files is still largely a manual operation. In some cases it is necessary to regularly get copies of files from another location to add to primary location; in other cases there is a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync.

Facebook to Gmail Contacts
Don't think I know anybody with Google Sync. I already have an HTC Hero so I had assumed it would automatically transfer any relevant details from my Facebook contacts (ie. birthdays, emails) and merge them into my Google contacts. The Hero displays the photos and the birthdays of my Facebook contacts with the corresponding Google contacts. These details are displayed below the Google contact information in a seperate Facebook section on the handset. It does not merge the photos or birthdays with my Google contacts - if I look at my Google contacts on a PC there is no photo and no birthday for them.
