Cocinando con Tia Florita: Bolitas de Corn Flakes. Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes Recipe. As I mentioned on Friday, I have been doing some experimentation with the beer and chocolate combination. The Guinness-chocolate ice cream that I made totally kicked butt, so I couldn’t wait to see how I liked beer and chocolate in my cake. The answer? I like it, a whole heck of a lot. This was my first time doing Guinness-chocolate cakes, and I was totally optimistic that I would love it, and I was definitely right. These cupcakes are fashioned after the popular drink that consists of a shot of Baileys Irish Cream and Irish whiskey dropped into a pint of Guinness.

I have never had one myself, but I’ve heard that if you can get it down before it curdles, it’s smooth, delicious and almost tastes like a milkshake. I’ll believe it because these cupcakes are all sorts of delicious. These cupcakes consist of a Guinness-chocolate cake base, which has a wonderful depth of flavor and is also supremely moist. Two year ago: Sour Cream Coffee CakeThree years ago: Pot Roast in the Crock Pot. GO PENS! with All-Occasion Sugar Cookies. After coming painfully close to raising the Cup last year, the Pittsburgh Penguins have earned a rematch with the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup finals, set to begin tomorrow night. This isn’t a sports blog so I won’t bore all of you foodies with the nitty gritty details, except to say I have been a huge hockey fan since I was a kid, I adored Mario Lemiuex, I still have the ’91 and ’92 victory games on VHS tape, and I’m from Pittsburgh.

The Steelers won the Super Bowl this year. The Pens winning the Stanley Cup in the same year would be insanely exciting. Okay, now that I got that out, onto the cookies! First of all, hardcore Pittsburgh fans will realize that my jerseys look more like Steelers jerseys than Pens jerseys, but I ran out of the lighter shade of yellow, oops. But Black & Gold is Black & Gold, right? I had wanted to make Steelers decorated sugar cookies for the Super Bowl, but ran out of time, so I decided I definitely needed to make them for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie n' Oreo Fudge Brownie Bar. On Wednesday, I wondered what would happen if you combined Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies with Oreo Stuffed Brownies. On Thursday I found out. And on Friday… I had this. This beautiful, ridiculous, indulgent, outrageous, illegal in 48 states, totally wonderful ultimate layered cookie and brownie treat. It is without a doubt, completely and utterly insane.

But I mean that in a good way. These dangerously decadent chocolate chip cookie ‘n brownie bars combine the best of a gooey chocolate chip cookie, warm fudgy brownie, and an extra sweet double stuffed Oreo. All you need is a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe (using a little less flour than you normally would), some double stuffed Oreos, a family-sized brownie mix for a 9×13 pan, and some hot fudge chocolate topping for good measure. Line a 9×13 baking dish with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Whip up your cookie dough and spread it in the bottom of the pan. Cover with Oreos… Oh, baby. Who wants cookies? Once the avocados have some grill marks, throw a few slices of red onion on the grill to char. Next up, let’s grill some tomato quarters! Once we’ve got everything grilled and set aside, place the avocado into a bowl and give it a quick mash. Next, grate some garlic over the avocado.

Be sure to get all that fabulous garlic from the bottom side of your grater. Next, juice a lime or two over the avocado. Add the chopped red onion. And then the tomatoes! Throw in some chopped cilantro. Season the guac with some salt and a few turns of freshly cracked black pepper. And serve it up with some of your favorite chips!! Say it with Cake - {Super Epic Rainbow Cake} Click here to buy a print! Two cakes in one week. I might have a bit of a problem. But... I dunno for sure. Anyway, I made this cake for a good friend. A friend that started as my worst enemy 12 years back, a friend that dreams of losing shoes and a friend that understands the great significance of screaming "EARTHQUAKE! " She's moving to Ohio at the end of this week, and although I'll miss her, I know she's going to have an awesome time living there. As soon as she told me she was having a going-away party, I thought of the perfect dessert to tote along.

The six individually baked layers match her insanity (in a good way!!!) That wasn't very eloquent, was it? But the most important aspect of this cake, the thing that makes it so her is the fact that it's frosted in white buttercream. And then it all makes sense. PEACE OUT, G! Edit March 28, 2010 The following video was mailed to me by the Daly family (thanks again - you guys are awesome!!). Watch me make this cake with Ms. Printable Recipe. One Bowl Vanilla Cupcakes For Two | How Sweet It Is - StumbleUpon. Let’s face it: sometimes we all need a dessert that only makes two servings. Sometimes we just can’t handle 12 servings. Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves. Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves in two hours.

Sometimes we eat them all by ourselves in a matter of minutes. Sometimes it’s the best thing ever. FYI: I have no idea what that is like. Haven’t you always wished you could make just enough dessert for yourself? Or… just yourself? Me too. But more often than not, I’ve found it to be a hassle to drag out the mixer, cream the sugar and butter, sift the dry ingredients and all that fun stuff for a measly two cupcakes. What can I say? Well, I was lazy. It is definitely your typical white cake; fluffy and soft, full of vanilla flavor, and the perfect vehicle for some fluffy white frosting. And it only takes one bowl! I think what I love most about these cupcakes is their customizability. [print_this] One Bowl Vanilla Cupcakes for Two serves 2 1 egg white 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 cup flour.

Recipe: buffalo chicken ring | jayesel - StumbleUpon. I love all things made with Frank’s Red Hot (or any hot sauce, really. But especially Frank’s Red Hot) I also love cheese. And crescent rolls. And ranch dressing. So this recipe? Is basically my dream come true. It’s perfect for parties or football games or really could be a nice, quick tasty dinner (served with a salad on the side, perhaps?) First, you make a funky circle-type thing with the crescent rolls.

Then chop some celery. Then mix some cream cheese with half a packet of ranch dressing mix (more if you’d like, but half is probably plenty) Next is the chicken. And then: HOT SAUCE. Mix it all together: the cream cheese mixture, the chicken, the celery, and the hot sauce. Now comes the art portion of our project. Then slowly go around the circle, wrapping the chicken mixture in the dough. (It doesn’t have to look this pretty. Bake it for 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees or until the crescent rolls are starting to brown. Serve the chicken ring with ranch and hot sauce for dipping.
