This weekend's Emerald City Comic Con is our favorite comic convention, and not just because it takes place ten minutes from our houses. Now at three (well, two and a half) days, it is one of the family-friendliest and best-run comics show around, and unlike many larger shows it is mostly about comics , with scads of my favorite creators. Unshelved will be there at booth 206 with SMBC 's Zach Weiner and Not Invented Here 's Jeff Zugale. Gene will be debuting his new book Poopy Claws .
Unshelved by Gene Ambaum and Bill Barnes

As the world moves toward more complex interactions, one of the most fundamental aspects of humanity is to enjoy its thoughts and its great works. Our journey has always been one of making classic literature available to anyone willing to listen, and now in this next phase, to expand our scope to include more thinkers, writers and essayists. Although thinking may not seem as relevant today, with advancing technology providing alternative vehicles of entertainment, we are committed to bringing a small part of intellectual enjoyment to the globe.

LibraryThing is a cataloging and social networking site for book lovers. LibraryThing helps you create a library-quality catalog of books: books you own, books you've read, books you'd like to read, books you've lent out ... whatever grouping you'd like. Since everyone catalogs online, they also catalog together. You can contribute tags, ratings and reviews for a book, and Common Knowledge (facts about a book or author, like character names and awards), as well as participate in member forums or join the Early Reviewers program. Everyone gets the benefit of everyone else's work.
