La cybernétique (en anglais cybernetics) est un terme, formé à partir du grec κῠβερνήτης (kubernêtês) « pilote, gouverneur », proposé en 1947 par le mathématicien américain Norbert Wiener pour promouvoir une vision unifiée des domaines naissants de l'automatique, de l'électronique et de la théorie mathématique de l'information, en tant que « théorie entière de la commande et de la communication, aussi bien chez l'animal que dans la machine »[1].

Biographie[modifier | modifier le code] Origines et études[modifier | modifier le code] Pascal Bruckner poursuit ses études à Paris, au lycée Henri-IV (hypokhâgne et khâgne), à l'université de Paris I et à l'université de Paris VII, puis à l’École pratique des hautes études. Sa thèse de 3e cycle, consacrée à l'émancipation sexuelle dans la pensée du socialiste utopiste Charles Fourier (Le corps de chacun est accessible à tous), a été dirigée par Julia Kristeva (et soutenue en 1975 à l'université Paris VII)[6],[7].
