The Effects of Intermittent Fasting on Human and Animal Health

It has been three years since starting my study on Intermittent Fasting (IF) and its proclaimed health effects. I am finally ready to go public. A quick background story… Why IF? Because for almost a decade I’d been interested in the subject. Seemingly, there was a lot of confirming evidence to be found online, showing amazing body transformations and improved health for many individuals. I wanted to see what we knew at this point. I finished the work in about one year and the result was awesome. I got my MD and felt on top of the world. But where do I go next? Finally, after some recent online pressure – I decided to give it away for free – right here. Please show your appreciation for the enormous work that this required from me, a hyperactive person that normally can’t sit for more than 10 minutes. Share it with your friends – the social media buttons are on your left. If you want to know more about IF I’d recommend you to buy Brad Pilons book Eat-Stop-Eat. Your friend, Bojan.

I see them as a fourth macronutrient. You have fats, proteins, and carbs. Ketones are an energy-containing molecule.” – Dom D’Agostino Dr. Dominic “Dom” D’Agostino (@DominicDAgosti2) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, and a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC). He has also deadlifted 500 pounds for 10 reps after a seven-day fast. He’s a beast and — no big surprise — he’s a good buddy of Dr. The primary focus of Dom’s laboratory is developing and testing metabolic therapies, including ketogenic diets, ketone esters and ketone supplements to induce nutritional/therapeutic ketosis. Podcast listeners will know that this is because nobody owns paleo and it couldn’t be kept safe from the money grubbers looking to cash in on the movement. Too many pre-release cookbooks have shown up at my door full of cookies and brownies, and we can no longer simply say “paleo” to the uninformed, trusting that they will only find good information when they look. Now, I’m forced to say, “I recommend paleo, but not the kind you see all over the internet.” This only necessitates a half hour discourse on what paleo is and isn’t. However, none of this is to say that I have in any way turned my back on the concept that human health should be based on evolutionary biology. One particular argument against the ancestral diets drives me batty, and it seems to be a common one lately, even perpetuated by people that otherwise seem to have a firm grip on science.
