first image 'cloth skull cube', 2011 by scott campbell uncirculated us currency sheets, lasered 53.3 x 63.5 x 31.8 cm 21 x 25 x 12.5 inches scott campbell: bless this mess galerie gmurzynska, zurich switzerland opening january 25th, 2012 new york-based artist scott campbell has created 'bless this mess'. the collection, on show at galerie gmurzynska , is comprised of several pieces formed by the artist's laser-cut into low reliefs from uncirculated US currency. though campbell's method of artistic expression is not limited to sculpture, tattoo, drawing and painting, it is his currency reliefs and delicate graphite on ostrich egg shell drawings that are showcased in this exhibition.

Fictional Landscapes
Colossal has seen its fair share of commendable book and paper work the last few weeks, but this was too good to pass up. UK-based artist Kyle Kirkpatrick constructs these wonderfully tiny dioramas using the topographies of carved books. Via the artist: My practice is primarily concerned with the notion of the imagined landscape. I present man-made objects and natural materials simultaneously to form carefully and meticulously composed installation works. I capitalize on intrigue taking objects out of context reinventing their use, pushing the viewer to see beyond what I present before them, a glass could be interpreted as a lake or a metal bracket a cliff.
