Het cheerleader-effect. In één van onze kijkmarathons van How I Met Your Mother legt Barney weer eens een van zijn theorieën uit. Als je die serie nog nooit gezien hebt, maakt niet uit joh, ik ga het verder niet over de serie hebben. Barney vertelt dit: The cheerleader effect is when group of women seems hot but only as a group. Just like with cheerleaders.
They seem hot, but take each one of them individually? Barney legt het wel even uit. Met andere woorden: als je een groep vrouwen ziet – hockeymeisjes, vrijgezellenfeest, introductieweek van het corps – lijkt het of de hele groep uit lekkere chicks bestaat, maar als je ze los van elkaar ziet blijkt dat ze eigenlijk niet zo knap zijn. Tot zover Barney’s theorie. Knip 'm uit en stop 'm in je portemonnee Eigenlijk hoef je maar om je heen te kijken of je komt het effect tegen. Het cheerleader-effect krijgt toch vijf sterren.
