BGC Advice: Charities Since it’s the season of giving and all that good stuff, could I get some help from you all in finding charities that support breasted people? We all know how hard it is to afford bras and other supportive undergarments so if you know of a charity that helps support (literally and figuratively, of course) those in need please add it to the list?

I’d particularly like to add charities that help people regardless of their size, gender identity, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, etc. If you know of a charity that supplies breasted people with undergarments they would otherwise be unable to afford, please post it in the response box below (Expand the notes for responses; Links are allowed and encouraged) ? Hand Embroidered Cards. Look what I found in my desk drawer! I made these embroidered cards so long ago and then just tucked them away in a drawer to be forgotten about.

What a shame! I thought these cards would make a great DIY for the blog because they're easy and fun to make, and you probably have all the supplies on hand already. If you're anything like me you have waaaaay too many colors of embroidery floss tucked away somewhere. What you'll need: Pencil for drawing your designPiece of thick cardboardEmbroidery flossSheets of blank paperEmbroidery needle and a pin with a headBlank Card Start by drawing out your design on a piece of thin blank paper. When I made my fruit cards, I actually used an iron-on transfer from Sublime Stitching, which is a really great book that you should all run out and buy right this very second.

Now you can start poking holes along the lines using the pin with a head. Now comes the fun part! Once you're done, admire your work! Tree of Life. The magic button — Make Everything OK. Mar10 Spring Update: Minted Art It’s been almost a week since the last snowfall, so I’ve decided that spring is definitely almost maybe here. My first refresh is the art in my master bedroom, because it’s been several years since I hung a large-scale photograph by Kelly Lynn Jones above my bed and called it a day. Mar07 Happy Weekend. Design Crush. Apr02 Make It: Faux Stained Glass Windows The window over my kitchen sink is one of my favorite places in the house.

The few plants that I’ve managed to keep alive spend their time there, it gets great light for almost the entire day, and I love it when a breeze is blowing in. I thought I’d give it a little DIY attention by creating a sort of faux stained glass window, and I’m digging the new (not at all permanent) result! Materials: • plexiglass sheet cut to the size of your window • piece of white paper or poster board • ruler • pencil • stained glass paints • ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape • smallish paint brush (I used one that is 3/4″ wide) • paper towels Let’s get started! Next you’re going to transfer your idea to a piece of paper or poster board that’s cut to the same size as the piece of plexiglass. Once you’re content with your finalized drawing, lay it behind the piece of plexiglass.

Now it’s time to get taping! To Enter: 1. Follow ScotchBlue on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Page 2. We get a lot of emails asking how to use brushes correctly so I hope this helps you out a little! A brow brush is designed to be stiff and angled for a reason. And we use the slanted edge to shade and the tip of the edge to outline. Put those components together and a brow brush is quite frankly a thing of perfection!
