Professor Holsapple earned his Ph.D. at Purdue University, and has formerly held tenured faculty positions at the University of Illinois and Purdue University.
Dr. Holsapple has published over a dozen books, including the classic Foundations of Decision Support Systems (forword by Nobel Laureate Herbert Simon), the 2-volume Handbook on Decision Support Systems, Decision Support Systems - A Knowledge-based Approach, the 2-volume Handbook on Knowledge Management, and Business Expert Systems. Contents of Dr. His 2002 journal article on a new approach to Engineering Ontologies received the ESI Top 1% Designation. He is Editor-in-Chief of the highly-ranked Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce.
