The University of New South Wales (UNSW; branded as UNSW Sydney[2]) is an Australian public research university located in the Sydney suburb of Kensington. Established in 1949, it is ranked 4th in Australia, 45th in the world, and 2nd in New South Wales according to the 2018QS World University Rankings.[3] The university comprises nine faculties, through which it offers bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. The main campus is located on a 38-hectare (94-acre) site in the Sydney suburb of Kensington, 7 km (about 4.3 miles) from the Sydney central business district. The creative arts faculty, UNSW Art & Design, is located in Paddington, UNSW Canberra is located at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra and sub-campuses are located in the Sydney CBD, the suburbs of Randwick and Coogee. History[edit] In January 2001 Rail Infrastructure Corporation was formed taking over responsibility for ownership and maintenance of the infrastructure from Rail Access Corporation and Railway Services Authority.[1][2] In January 2004, after much criticism and public perceptions of blame shifting between units for operational failings, RailCorp was formed taking over the passenger train operations from the State Rail Authority and responsibility for maintaining the greater metropolitan network from Rail Infrastructure Corporation.[3][4] External links[edit] References[edit]

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Part of the University of New South Wales Law Faculty, Sydney, Australia The Indigenous Law Centre (ILC), formerly the Aboriginal Law Research Unit and Aboriginal Law Centre, is part of the Law Faculty at the University of New South Wales. It develops and coordinates research, teaching and information services in the multi-disciplinary area of Indigenous peoples and the law, and publishes two major journals: the Australian Indigenous Law Review (formerly Australian Indigenous Law Reporter) and the Indigenous Law Bulletin (formerly Aboriginal Law Bulletin). It is the only Indigenous law research centre in Australia. History[edit] 21st century[edit] Since 2010 much work has been focussed on the development of reform of the Constitution of Australia. The Balnaves Chair in Constitutional Law was established by the Balnaves Foundation in 2020, to allow Professor Megan Davis to continue the work of the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
