A bit of sunshine: the knock off necklace pattern. I have been getting tons of requests for the knock off necklace pattern that I posted about a few weeks ago so I finally took a little time to write it out for you guys.
I don't really have a detailed tutorial but it was pretty straight forward as far as stringing the beads and tying little knots onto the components. I am going to include a supply list as well as the bead pattern for anyone who is dying to recreate this statement piece! Supplies: 1. 8 colors of seed beads. Assortment of beads, with whole large enough to pass hemp through. vintage button [or any button really] scissors the first thing you want to do is decide how long you want your necklace. i started with about 4 feet of hemp since i only wanted it to be a one strand necklace. this method can be used on a super long piece of hemp, allowing for you to double the necklace when wearing it. it is better to start off with more than you need… once you have the length of hemp needed, loop one end, knot, & cut off any excess. make sure the loop is large enough to let your button pass through.

I ended up creating this pretty coral and gold version for her site, but I also created a fun ombre layered necklace for me and I wanted to share it with you all! (You can see the tute for the first one here) Again, because of the use of black glass bugle beads in this make, it has an overall 1920’s feel.
