Just a little Creativity: Kapow! Comic Book Chair Makeover- Comics, Spray Paint, Mod Podge {DIY}

I started with a dingy white wooden chair, which was free, by the way. I scrubbed it down, and gave it a light sanding. Next, I spray painted it all black. I wish I'd used Krylon, but I didn't have any at home, so I went with the two cans of Walmart brand I already had. I really think the two cans of that brand would've equaled one of Krylon. Anyway, once the spray paint was dry, I took apart pages from one of my sons old comic books and placed them strategically to cover the whole seat of the chair.

With my trusty Mod Podge, I attached the pages to the chair. Word Art using Adobe InDesign. I recently got a computer upgrade at work and am now the proud user of a MacBook Pro.

Our local charity shop has a take-it-or-it-goes-in-the-rubbish box just inside the front door. I usually avoid digging through it because if the charity shop thinks something belongs in the bin, it probably does. However, on my last thrifting expedition I literally tripped over this beauty dangling over the edge of the box – most likely attempting an escape before it got dumped in the trash: a groovy patchwork leather purse…just what I had been looking for to mate with the leftovers from my secret book safe to create… …fanfreakingtastic mini book pendants!

As a crafter with a collection of supplies, tools, and general knickknacks, I am a person in need of some storage space. I'm not a huge fan of plastic bins and labeled boxes because they just seem so classroomy to me-- I like my storage to double as decor. So what better way to store things than with vintage suitcases?

I already keep a lot of my supplies and out-of-season clothes in my stacked suitcases, and I have a stash of fabric and beads in the suitcase table my parents made me for Christmas, but I wanted to try to make a suitcase table on my own. Das verdeutlicht man am besten mit Schildern. Kleinere Holzlatten findet man fast überall.

25 Full-Size Toe-Pincher Coffin: The Coffin. The Coffin We started this build with locally purchased materials.

25 Full-Size Toe-Pincher Coffin: The Coffin

Cost of materials: $15 for 15 Fence Pickets $5 for drywall screws $4 for wood glue $24 Total Cost We used fifteen 1" x 6" x 6' pressure treated pine dog ear fence pickets from the local home improvement store. While the nominal size of the lumber was 1" x 6" the actual size was 5/8" x 5-1/2" x 72". We also purchased two packages of drywall screws in both 1 inch and 1-1/4 inch lengths. Since there were 15 boards that needed to be cut, a table saw made the job much easier. The 15 boards needed to be cut to pretty specific lengths to avoid waste. Because the pickets have the dog ear notches on each of the top corners, each board had to be trimmed. I Make Projects - Making Canned Halloween Monstrosities. The Demons are very symmetrical and stylistic in appearance and add a very unique element to our Halloween collection.
