3D (MB3D) fractal generator / rendering software
Mandelbulb 3D is a free software application created for 3D fractal imaging. Developed by Jesse and a group of Fractal Forums contributors, based on Daniel White and Paul Nylander’s Mandelbulb work, MB3D formulates dozens of nonlinear equations into an amazing range of fractal objects. The 3D rendering environment includes lighting, color, specularity, depth-of-field, shadow- and glow- effects; allowing the user fine control over the imaging effects. MB3D has a devoted following of users worldwide, with on-line communities on Deviant Art and Facebook, where artists share their creations, as well as fractal formulas and software tips. This Shanghai Rainbow Is Made from Suspended Strings All images © Office339 A sea of rainbow of strings was suspended over ARTificial Garden, a group exhiition of works by PRISM DESIGN, Office339, and others. Known as Artificial Nature, the hanging rainbow created collaboratively between PRISM and Office339 lasted from October 24 through November 16, 2014 at the Shanghai World Financial Center. The piece was "a linear and yet cuboid installation work," according to the artists, "Presenting the maternal body—the foundation of life—as well as expressing that instantaneous moment of life being born through deploying countless lines and a metallic skeleton." "The work provides each viewer with the apparent sensation of an enveloping and immanent experience," they explain.

[Best of 2014] The Year in Robots Patrick Tresset's robot Paul-IX was designed to draw like a human. GIF by Beckett Mufson via Robots have captured the imaginations of storytellers for centuries, from Asimov's I, Robot to TARS in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, to tales of Hephaestus' bronze sentinel from Ancient Greek mythology. 3D Mandelbulb Fractal Ray Tracer This implementation was written as a Pixel Bender filter then ported over to QuartzComposer as a GLSL patch to enable animation. The scripts run on the GPU which makes real-time interactive exploration possible. For more information behind the discovery of the Mandelbulb see the accompanying blog post. More images in the gallery and on Flickr. Animation Animations can be created in Adobe After Effects using the .pbk files, but it will be very slow to render as the calculations have to be performed on the CPU rather than the GPU. Download and installation Download the 3D Mandelbulb Ray Tracer Note: there are two versions of each filter, the quick and and the normal. For Pixel Bender open the Mandelbulb.pbk file with the Adobe Pixel Bender Toolkit or copy it into the Pixel Bender Files folder in your Photoshop CS4 installation directory (you will need to have installed the PB plugin for Photoshop first). animaker, para crear animaciones y exportar el vídeo, directamente desde Internet Animaker es una aplicación que podemos usar directamente en Internet para crear vídeos con animaciones realmente profesionales.
