After some extensive testing, we have identified that the issue is coming from the Polylang plugin. When deactivating the Polylang plugin, then adding a variable product to the cart, this is what we see: I’m assuming that the Polylang plugin is translating a string, but it is not translating the whole, correct string, which leaves off the variations description. I’d encourage you to look into which string is being overridden, as it should be accounting for the variations as well.
