Giving the gift of your fabulous face in the form of a scratch card for Valentine's Day is a brilliant and rather bizarre idea. Scratch cards are normally so horribly disappointing but here's one that will either guarantee a cheesy grin or at least give them a good laugh. The good folks over at Photojojo (currently the site I have been drooling over due to their collection of iPhone lenses - they have a 'fisheye' lens for your iPhone, people!) Posted DIY: Make a Scratch-Off Photo Valentine. It's based on this video from Hello Brit, but they've turned it into a handy photo how to (quite fitting for a scratch card photo).

And as Brit implies in the video, you can put whatever you like under there. No one else will ever no. Just make sure you let them know if it's not safe for work. Have fun scratching this Valentine's Day. Fun with Foam Printing - Easy Tutorial. I loved this idea because not only can you recycle these horrid polystyrene containers, but the process is really simple. You could even use tracing paper and trace your design so you don't even need to be able to draw. You could make a whole series of cards like this or just a colorful print to hang on your wall and cheer up the place. Materials needed: Foam or polystyrene container pencil paint or ink small roller 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Rather than sit in a classroom and learn about the world through a someone else’s eyes, I did it through adventures and misadventures, tears and laughter. I know I still have so much to discover, but here are some lessons that sometimes I had to learn the hard way. Some of them I already kinda knew, some I are silly, some are serious, some are obvious, and some are embarrassing.

Maybe this collection will help open up new doors in your own life and own travels, and although we will all learn our own lessons, I hope maybe I will help someone avoid some of my mistakes (example: #14). Happy travels! 1. 21. 28. 43. 60. 80. 95. What are some lessons you have learned from travel? Author quote posters. Being around a successful author would surely be exhausting and inspiring in equal amounts. As well as all that wisdom they put into their books, their thought-provoking one-liners would literally be falling out here, there and everywhere. So while you'd beat yourself up for not possessing even a smidgen of that kind of talent, you'd also be maniacally scribbling it all down for dinner party quoting.

The rather smart Evan Robertson has created a set of posters that combine iconic author quotes with genius design work. If you don't want at least two of these hanging on your wall then we need to have a serious chat. Tags: books, Design, Posters.
