Brains of Buddhist monks scanned in meditation study + Xeno’s meditation technique. In a laboratory tucked away off a noisy New York City street, a soft-spoken neuroscientist has been placing Tibetan Buddhist monks into a car-sized brain scanner to better understand the ancient practice of meditation. But could this unusual research not only unravel the secrets of leading a harmonious life but also shed light on some of the world’s more mysterious diseases?

Brains of Buddhist monks scanned in meditation study + Xeno’s meditation technique

Wow! I got shivers down my spine when I read this. I think because in my first and only day long meditation class, I discovered and explained to the group that rather than focusing only on the breath as was being prescribed, what works for me is to develop a dual perception of the breath along with your thoughts, the external along with the internal. This is the only realistic way to not let your mind wander. No one understood what I was saying. For the record, I’m told my ability to focus is very unusual. The way I see it, this study validates my discovery. Try it: Results? Like this:

Listen to it for 10 minutes, longer if you can. The longer it plays, the deeper you’ll go. So go. How It Works The human brain produces different levels of electrical activity depending on the amount of information it is processing. Throughout the day, the brain lingers between four different types of brainwave patterns: Beta (12 -30 Hz): the normal, awake consciousness associated with busy tasksAlpha (8 – 12 Hz): the relaxed and reflective state, like those induced by closing the eyes during waking hoursTheta (4 – 7 Hz): a very relaxed state associated with meditation and some sleep statesDelta (3 and under Hz): deep, dreamless sleep Theta waves (at around 4 to 7 Hz) are the sweet spot for many brain functions.

Opening Your Third Eye. The Activation, Its Passive Usage Two exercises are given below: Mirror Watching A Single Person Watch your face in a mirror, with dimmed light.

Opening Your Third Eye

Make sure you are alone, or you know that no one will interrupt you, as you have to slip into a very relaxed state of consciousness, where any physical interruption may affect you much deeper. Choose maybe an evening, not a special time, but maybe after work, when you are perhaps already a bit tired physical and mentally. Again, watch your face, relax yourself by a calming suggestion such as, "I'm in peace within myself, I simply watch my face to calm and find peace in me".

Don't move with your sight or blink your eyes, because it's necessary to allow your attention to move away from your physical eyes toward your inner eye. Choose a point on your face you focus, and don't change it anymore. The warmth is energy, which you attract by refocusing your attention. You have to release the attention to watch with your physical eyes.

Nature and Nature's laws lay hid in night: God said, "Let Tesla be", and all was light. B.A. Chakras. Chakras Chakra means Wheel in Sanskrit.

Chakras

Consciousness and energy move from one frequency to another in spiraling fashion. The body has energy centers that look like spinning wheels and are called Chakras. They allow energy to flow from one part of the body to another. As with all things in our reality, they are linked to sound, light and color. To heal, is to bring the chakras into alignment and balance then understand the nature of creation and your purpose in it.

Experience Instant Deep Meditation Using Brainwave Synchronization Technology with EquiSync. Put Your Brain Waves in Sync Visit the EOC Institute EquiSync Balance is a new audio CD from the folks at the EOC Institute which they describe this way Equisync offers your nervous system a super fertile atmosphere triggering enormously positive transformations in your body and brain. What is actually occurring is steadily giving the nervous system more than it can handle, safely and carefully, in the same manner exercise gives your physical body more than it can handle, forcing it to strengthen and develop. How does the brain answer? Transformation and reorganization at a higher level.

A foundation of new neural pathways. Electromagnetic theories of consciousness. The electromagnetic theories of consciousness propose that consciousness can be understood as an electromagnetic phenomenon.

Electromagnetic theories of consciousness

Overview[edit] Theorists differ in how they relate consciousness to electromagnetism. Electromagnetic field theories (or "EM field theories") of consciousness propose that consciousness results when a brain produces an electromagnetic field with specific characteristics. Susan Pockett[1] [2]and Johnjoe McFadden[3][4][5] have proposed EM field theories; William Uttal[6] has criticized McFadden's and other field theories.
