Des nettoyages conséquents ont été nécessaires pour débuter ce projet, entraînant des consolidations de blocs, associées à une première évaluation générale des besoins en restauration-conservation. Premiers nettoyages Un lourd investissement en temps a été nécessaire pour évacuer l’effondrement du mur de soutènement moderne bâti au nord du temple, contre le mur d’enceinte du domaine d’Amon-Rê. Sur la bordure méridionale du temple, plusieurs blocs étaient visibles, certains émergeant à peine du sol de débris.
