The Law of Complexity/Consciousness is the postulated tendency of matter to become more complex over time and at the same time to become more conscious. The law was first formulated by Jesuit priest and paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Teilhard holds that at all times and everywhere, matter is endeavoring to complexify upon itself, as observed in the evolutionary history of the Earth. Matter complexified from inanimate matter, to plant life, to animal life, to human life. Or, from the geosphere, to the biosphere, to the noosphere (of which humans represented, because of their possession of a consciousness which reflects upon themselves). NIKOLA TESLA INSTITUTE - BRASÍLIA - BRAZIL NIKOLA TESLA INSTITUTE - BRASÍLIA - BRAZIL The word "Noosphere" was coined in analogy with the "geosphere", the world or layer of dead matter, and the "biosphere", the world or layer of living matter. Beyond and superimposed on these spheres lies another dimensional sphere, the "noosphere", from Greek "noos, nous" = "mind", and "sphaira" = "globe", a figurative envelope of conceptual thought, or reflective impulses produced by the human intellect. It is not scientifically measurable, of course, but its presence is strongly felt and its influence is all-pervading.

Life Mirrors Art Mirrors Life - Skyrail Social Network Visualisation On my travels last week I came across this seriously cool new social network visualisation system called Skyrails. What I find particularly exciting about it is that the output looks like something out of the pages of Masamune Shirow’s “Ghost in the Shell” flying through the virtual noosphere. Whilst the utility of such visualisations are still questionable it’s always good to see innovation in this area and makes my own attempts look tame in comparison! The Noosphere and the Internet The shaman seers of the Fourth World generally agree that those who tenaciously cling to the past will fall into mass insanity. The serpent power of the Aquarian Age is upon us. The Kundalini of Gaia is about to awaken. No one can avoid being affected. Most human beings may go out of their minds; others will go beyond mind." Noosphere II Introduction What is the Noosphere? The noosphere is the planetary sphere of mind or thinking layer of planet Earth. To grasp the idea of the noosphere we must elevate our consciousness and open ourselves to the most general, elemental and cosmic principles of life on Earth. Noosphere II Introduction

Thinking About the Noosphere: Sri Aurobindo, The Overmind, Supermind and the Descent of the Supramental A basic premise of the Noosphere II Project of the Galactic Research Institute is that the noosphere represents a major evolutionary alteration of human consciousness. This is a shift from atomized individual consciousness to the consciousness of a vast single entity, what might be referred to as the collective telepathic field of planet Earth.

wiki : The Noosphere and The Gaian Mind The only truly natural and real human unity is the spirit of the Earth.—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin The noosphere can be seen as the "sphere of human thought" being derived from the Greek ("nous") meaning "mind" in the style of "atmosphere" and "biosphere". In the original theory of Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life). The word is also sometimes used to refer to a transhuman consciousness emerging from the interactions of human minds. This is the view proposed by the theologian Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.[1]

Manifesto for the Noosphere * Book: José Argüelles. Manifesto for the Noosphere: The Next Stage in the Evolution of Human Consciousness. Evolver Editions/North Atlantic Books, 2011. From the introduction, by Jose Arguelles: "We must enlarge our approach to encompass the formation taking place before our eyes ... of a particular biological entity such as has never existed on earth-the growth, outside and above the biosphere, of an added planetary layer, an envelope of thinking substance, to which, for the sake of convenience and symmetry, I have given the name of the Noosphere.
Noosphere videos, images, text and audio The noosphere (/ˈnoʊ.ɵsfɪər/; sometimes noösphere) is a concept used by Vladimir Vernadsky[1] and Teilhard de Chardin to denote the "sphere of human thought".[2] The word derives from the Greek νοῦς (nous "mind") and σφαῖρα (sphaira "sphere"), in lexical analogy to "atmosphere" and "biosphere".[3] It was introduced by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin in 1922[4] in his Cosmogenesis.[5] Another possibility is the first use of the term by Édouard Le Roy (1870-1954), who together with Teilhard was listening to lectures of Vladimir Vernadsky at the Sorbonne. In 1936 Vernadsky accepted the idea of the noosphere in a letter to Boris Leonidovich Lichkov (though he states that the concept derives from Le Roy).[6] History of concept[edit] In the theory of Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life).
