I know I totally did when I was first introduced to them. Today, I hope to shed a little light on many of the literacy terms you may find in your curriculum or while searching on a website/blog. I’m organizing them by category and then each term will be listed and defined in alphabetical order. If I have an example, I’ll link to that as well (to prevent this post from getting too long). Actually, notebooking has a huge advantage over traditional worksheets and tests in that it is extremely flexible. There are so many different ways a child can express what he learned that there have to be at least a few methods of narration that will fit every learner. Here are my two main strategies for encouraging reluctant writers to use notebooking. Change the Medium What does this reluctant writer like doing? Inflected endings.
