Natural Fuse (project site: naturalfuse.org) "Natural fuse" is a micro-scale carbon dioxide overload protection framework that works locally and globally, harnessing the carbon-sinking capabilities of plants.

Generating electricity to power the electronic products that populate our lives has consequences on the amount of carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere, which in turn has detrimental environmental effects. The carbon footprint of the power used to run these devices can be offset by the natural carbon-capturing processes that occur as plants absorb carbon dioxide and grow. "Natural Fuse" units take advantage of this phenomena. They are now distributed in households in London, New York and San Sebastian. Supermechanical : objects that connect us. Singing Rubbish Bins Say Thanks When Litter Is Dumped Inside

The specially designed bins will be dotted around central London and Liverpool from October. As well as saying "thank you" when someone dumps in their rubbish, they can also sing opera and Abba, give a round of applause and sometimes even burp. Keep Britain Tidy is running the campaign along with arts organisation Sing London. Sing London's director, Colette Hiller, told Sky News: "Its ambition is to actually make people care about the place where they live and we want to do that by using fun as a way to bring the best out in people. " Interactive bins have already had success in parts of Europe. In Sweden a talking bin collected three times more rubbish than a normal one nearby. With more than 30 million tons of litter dropped on Britain's streets each year it is hoped these bins could have the same success here. Archive » Good Night Lamp. Asthma inhaler tracking.

The Plant is the Sensor® Smartfield™ provides our users with many tools and services; unique services that allow the user to make better-informed management decisions regarding their crops remotely via CropInsight or other detailed reporting.

The Plant is the Sensor®

The Standard SmartCrop® sensor measures crop canopy temperature using an infrared thermometer and relays the information back to the Base Station. Research has shown canopy temperature to be a significant measurement of crop stress. If the temperature of the plant is above optimal temperature for an extended period of time, the metabolic processes become less efficient; the plant does not show as much growth, therefore, causing detriment to the yield. Features: Uses Infrared Thermometer to Measure Plant Canopy Temperature1,500′ Radio Frequency RangeReads every Minute, Reports Average Reading every 15 minutes.
