In a lot of the “ future world ” videos produced by technology companies, we are supposed to be wowed by devices that look far different from today’s tablets and smartphones. One common theme is the use of a device that is entirely display and is capable of adapting to the needs of the user at a given time. It would be pretty cool technology, but, up until now it, was nearly impossible to achieve, making the videos more sci-fi than future tech. Enter Atmel , a semiconductor manufacturer.We still don’t know with full certainty what the sixth-generation iPhone will look like. Until we do, expect a continued parade of iPhone rumors to leak along with the occasional concept photo or video. Today’s iPhone mockup is perhaps the coolest so far, albeit one that will never see the light of day. Last time we saw the FlyNano amphibious ultralight plane , we weren't sure if it would be gas or electric, and we wondered who'd be brave enough to fly the tiny thing -- if it flew at all. That's all been answered, because the sub-154 pound carbon fibre vehicle completed its first flight, taking a brief skip above a Finnish lake with pilot Pekka Kauppinen at the helm. The short trip showed promise, and the company affirmed it would continue development and airborne tests with the aim of delivering to customers in late 2013.

Dotan Saguy, the creator behind Lifelike Apps has just announced on Kickstarter, the Smarter iPad Stand . The stand turns any Smart Cover or Smart Case into a full-featured multi-position stand without adding bulk or weight to the iPad. One drawback of Apple’s own line of iPad covers and cases is their limited use as a stand. In their current form, these can only be used for typing and for viewing videos. The Smarter iPad Stand resolves this by attaching two small clips to either side of the Smart Cover or Smart Case.

The shape of the original units is clearly enhanced by the different pitched ceiling direction as well as by their different heights.
