My Best Friend gave me the most beautiful handmade beaded ring for Christmas this year. She found it at Smoking Lily , which is one of my favourite places to find unique handmade gifts. Their headquarters are in Victoria BC, but they have a handful of stores scattered around Vancouver and a few other Canadian cities.

We sold sugru at Maker Faire San Mateo and due to the overwhelming response, we now have it online in the Maker Shed ! For those that don’t know, sugru is an air curable rubber with millions of uses. It molds like Play-Dough, cures within 24 hours, sticks to nearly anything, and is abnormally tough. I used it to fix my aging MagSafe connector then became addicted. Next, I added some to my space pen (it kept sliding out of my pocket) and a guitar pick (for extended Rocksmith sessions).

March 16th, 2012 in member junk ShareThis 3 users recommend This particular birdhouse was a long time coming. First I created the two birdhole entrances and it sat for a while on one of my work shelves as the creative juices stirred on it. Finally I picked it up and got to it.

December 2nd, 2012 in member junk ShareThis 9 users recommend I've always wanted a life-size nutcracker... a little too much money for me so I decided to make my own...We were cleaning out the one of the old buildings on our property and I came across this old bed, when I threw it on the back of the truck I seen a nutcracker..I know weird huh!!! What a fun project...All it took was, a tin can, an old bucket, some lamp parts, paint, and a vision of a nutcracker and there he was standing on my porch ready for the season to begin... July 13th, 2011 in member junk ShareThis 4 users recommend I found this old tool chest in a thrift store. I loved that it was red inside. I also had found a vintage mannequin arm and hand and loved the look of them put together. The letters are cut out of old license plates.
July 7th, 2012 in member junk ShareThis 6 users recommend 20"L x 38"H x 13"W I made this out of a fiberglass head I found in Santa Barbara, an old prop from a movie. The body is a child dress form. I've put a vintage bingo cage, with bingo balls, in the form for it's belly (there is also a bird on a spit in the cage).

"Pinocchio, spurred on by the hope of finding his father, built his wooden body into a magic time machine, put on his helmet and goggles, and whooshed off just in time to save him!" His helmet is a vintage dog muzzle. Pattern or design used: My own design - Lauretta Lowell
