http://www.thehousethatlarsbuilt.com/2012/02/diy-friendship-bracelet-chevron-rug.html You know how friendship bracelets are totally back? Well, I can't quite bring myself to get into it after 15 years but I love the bright colors, the patterns, the idea of it....It got me thinking where else I could apply the process and I thought it'd be fun to make a huge friendship bracelet that you could walk on. You know, given my love of all things oversized.

DIY J. Crew Flowered Neckpiece

http://www.chic-steals.com/2011/03/diy-j-crew-flowered-neckpiece.html I don’t think I ever posted the step-by-step tutorial for this. Woops! Inspired by this neckpiece (actually a belt)…from the J. Crew Fall 2009 catalog. A very simple, but effectively pretty, DIY.

yarn-wrapped hangers - wise craft

http://blairpeter.typepad.com/weblog/2010/08/yarnwrapped-hangers.html Until I dive in and finally learn to crochet (at which point I will make a bazillion of these ), here is a super easy way to cover a hanger with yarn. I love simple, quick projects like this that take ordinary, household things we use every day and make them more noticeable and interesting. If you've got a stash of yarn you're trying to work your way through like me, try this. Its easy to get the hang of, and even kids can do it with a little help getting started. This year, on the very first nice day, my skirt flew up not once, but twice. http://blog.makezine.com/craft/how-to_make_a_custom_pair_of_t/

elsie marley » Blog Archive » straw and pompom garland tutorial

http://www.elsiemarley.com/straw-and-pompom-garland-tutorial.html a straw and pompom garland I ordered a bunch of natural straws from the lovely online shop, Imagination Childhood (they call them swedish straws). I bought them for another project (thursday's tutorial!), but I loved working with them so much I wanted to make a simple garland with them too. Obviously this can be done with plastic straws or even some pretty paper straws , if you don't have any swedish straws lying around.

I got sick of waiting to go to Spotlight to buy a good bra pattern, I decided to DIY! This is good if you do not have a very large bust. I'm a 12C-ish, and this tutorial shows you how to make a basic padded bra.

Tutorial: Land of Nod inspired Floor Cushion

After browsing page after page of Land~of~Nod and Pottery Barn Kids for years, I've decided to take the bull by the horns and make my own stuff! First on the list: One Seater Floor Cushion If you'd like to make your own, here's what you'll need: 1 yard Home Dec Fabric 2 pkgs . 1/2 " pre made piping Contrasting Thread 16-24oz. Fiberfill, depending on how lofty you want it I started first by drawing my own 17" diameter circle.
One step DIY's are the best. Am I right or am I right? I recently made this scarf into a more wearable piece of clothing, by simply cutting two slits. It's all about where you cut the slits. The best part: you can still wear it as a scarf if you wanted to. Some of you might also recognize it from the pictures I posted from the ReadyMade Magazine Party .

Make A Purse From Vinyl Records

First I cut off the bottoms of the 2 records that make the outside of the purse. I put the oven on Broil and then put the record on a cookie sheet. As soon as the record flattened a tiny bit in the oven and was obviously softer, I took scissors and cut across the record until it got hard again.
Hey look! It’s a book! And it’s a clutch! I shall call it book-clutch.
