Exposed muscle halloween makeup. It is the first week of October!!!

Exposed muscle halloween makeup

It is starting to feel like fall… pumpkin flavored everything is in full swing, leather jackets and sweaters are being dusted off and…….Halloween will be here soon! I decided last month that I wanted to do some Halloween makeup tutorials because not only will it possibly be able to help some of you wanting to concentrate heavily on your makeup this year but it also gives me the chance to branch out, try some different techniques and have some fun! I decided to have my first look be a bit gory which is why I settled on this exposed face muscle look. I also wanted to introduce some latex techniques in because the possibilities with it are endless and it is soooo easy to use. This look actually only required three things: grease paint, latex and tissue. Products Used: Grease paint in red, white and black, latex or eyelash glue, not pictured: tissues Clean the skin. Mineral Veil Face Powder. I used to be obsessed with Bare Minerals makeup products for years, especially their mineral veil face powder.

Mineral Veil Face Powder

Three years ago, I glanced at the ingredients, and I was surprised. It was basically cornstarch with parabens (eek!) And iron oxides for color. Since then, I’ve been refilling the same powder container with my own mineral veil concoction, and it works EXACTLY the same (if not better) as the brand name powder. I still love Bare Minerals products, and they have now taken out the parabens, but I will stick with my own mineral veil, thank you. THE RECIPE: In an old powder container, shake together one tablespoon cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon baby powder.

But then there are those days when my liner refuses to go on straight, my bronzer makes me look like an Asian Snookie, or my lashes refuse to curl. I had one of those days last week, and after walking into work wearing two very different winged tips on my eyes, my editor assigned me a new story: Go to makeup school and write about it.

Fixing Broken Makeup

Every time I'm on Pinterest, I see something else I want to try or make and usually, I do. So we figured, WHY NOT show you all of Pinterest endeavors and pick out the really awesome things from the not-so-amazing things. So from time to time that's exactly what we are going to do! So here we go...first up we have the "alcohol makes your broken makeup troubles fade away" trick.

Sounds AMAZING. 1K+ So here is the makeup we wanted to fix. Messed up makeup. Add alcohol. Mash the makeup and alcohol together with your finger. This is what it looked like when it finally mixed completely together. As you can see this gets really messy. All cleaned up. This is what they all looked like when we got them all mixed together. How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes.

I love makeup.

How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes

D would probably argue that between the makeup and the nail polish I should try to find a 12 step program. But I can’t help it, it’s so fun to try out new colors or techniques, even if I’m not planning to leave the house. But when I do leave the house, I pretty much always have makeup on. Whether it’s just some concealer and mascara quickly before work, or a dark smokey eye for a night out with friends. It’s like art for your face! So if you’re like me and you use makeup, you probably also use makeup brushes – for blush, eye shadow, foundation, etc. The good news is, you can do a monthly deep clean of your brushes using stuff you probably already have in your kitchen!

You will need: dish soapolive oila platewater (not pictured)paper towel or dish towel (not pictured)dirty, dirty makeup brushes The soap will remove the bacteria/grease/color left on your brushes while the olive oil helps to condition the brush bristles and keep them from drying out.
