Podthoughts | Maximum Fun

You’ve surely heard the name Pete Holmes resonating through the halls of alternative and/or podcast-y comedy lately. Even if that piques your curiosity, casual investigation reveals only one more head in the endless perp walk of white, early-thirties, college improv-bred, sitcom-writing Los Angeles standup comics by way of New York. http://www.maximumfun.org/tags/podthoughts

Can you recommend podcasts in which people are having a conversation? I would like to avoid interviews or structured ones with segments. Some of my favorite podcasts are the Slate Gabfests because they're just people talking to each other, and while there's an outline, there's no super structure (i.e. like an NPR show would have interstitial music and be very formal). http://ask.metafilter.com/121452/Where-Can-I-Listen-to-Other-Peoples-Conversations

Q: We are a successful group and are tired of hiring out sound studios for practice and recording. How difficult is it to set up a professional sound studio in my home? It’s not too difficult a task if you plan it all out before you start.

Note: The Dice Tower episodes are provided as a service to the community and although they are entirely family friendly, Funagain Games is not responsible for their content. In this show, Tom talks about pretty much everything involving gaming that enters his scatterbrained mind. This includes some pretty big announcements, game news, and more.
