Apply For Services ยป About the Standards The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council of Chief State School Officers have developed and recently released a set of Common Core Standards for English Language Arts. "The Standards set requirements not only for English language arts (ELA) but also for literacy in history/social studies, science, and technical subjects.
