How To Argue Against Evolution - Thinking Christian

I want to add a brief word now on how to argue against it. I’m not trying to make this comprehensive, just to list a few quick points covering categories that count against evolution. (I’m still speaking strictly of naturalistic evolution.) Can’t you just see by looking that this world is designed? This objection will suffer snickers from evolutionary scientists, because it lacks testability and definitional rigor. There is, however, knowledge other than scientific knowledge, and we really can see design in all of reality. Evolutionists will also object that some of reality looks undesigned: that there are apparent mistakes, evil, and so on.

We know from Scripture that God created the world, including all of its life. This is valid—even if evolutionists laugh at it—as long as we establish that God’s revelation is a genuine source of knowledge. Naturalism is false, therefore naturalistic evolution is false. 13208 Morris Road, Austin, TX - Google Maps. The Austin Vineyard Church - Welcome!

And, indeed, in a cause of such importance pertaining to religion and the instruction of consciences, they thought that the adversaries would produce their writing without any hesitation [, or even offer it to us]. The LCMS is a member of the International Lutheran Council (ILC). The ILC is a worldwide association of established confessional Lutheran church bodies which proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the basis of an unconditional commitment to the Holy Scriptures as the inspired and infallible Word of God and to the Lutheran Confessions contained in the Book of Concord as the true and faithful exposition of the Word of God. The commission monitors discussions with Lutheran church bodies and movements with which the Synod is not in altar and pulpit fellowship. Through the CTCR and the president’s office, the Synod takes part in various ecumenical discussions and dialogues with other Christian groups. View Partner Churches.
