Keep them in a small jar in the bathroom and after a shower just grab one, put it in the palm of your hands and rub your hands together!

The solid shape will "melt" in your hands and you can put it all over! My nieces love it because it's not just lotion, but it's safe and non-toxic and they like to use it on their lips as well! If you only need a little, you can grab a thinner piece - for the whole body grab a big one! Items Needed: Take a small pot and fill it about halfway with water (you may need to empty some of it out). Put it on the stove and get the water nice and hot - medium heat should be fine. That's it - you're done! *Optional: I also dyed some of mine with beet juice. Photos du journal. TableTalk: The Best Idea I’ve Had This Year. The Gunny Sack: {Everything} In A Jar - Handmade Gifts.

As soon as I thought of making these I got a huge kick out of naming them Party Animals. Hilarious, but if you hear groaning…it’s coming from my house.

Regardless of how cheesy the name is, these turn out awesome. Your kid’s favorite animal holding that birthday candle minus those red eyes that are oh so typical for plastic creatures, awesome. Supplies - plastic animalsplastic candle holdersdrill with 1/8″ drill bitpliersgold spray paint For the plastic animals, you can use any kind you can find. Hold the animal with the pliers and drill a hole straight down, being careful not to pop out the other side. Spray paint the animals in a few light coats, rotating them to cover all sides. I also painted the candle holders to match. That’s it. {Photos by Hank + Hunt for The Sweetest Occasion.} Put your stuff up in the air! Hanging DIY ideas & tutorials. I got LOT’S of requests for a tutorial on how I DID THIS! So here it is. FINALLY! You will be able to learn how to cut glass. I want to warn you. It’s best to triple your yarn because it will burn longer! Soak it GOOD! I like to tie my yarn where I want my glass to “cut” then quickly pour polish remover over the string again. Get a big bowl with ice and water ready. VERY IMPORTANT! Slowly turn your bottle. You can’t let the flame go OUT then dunk it in the ice water.

Out-dated side table with stone top transformed into a bright and cheerful accent piece! *First they removed the hardware and stone top, sanded the table all over, and applied a coat of primer. *Then they gave it two coats of semigloss latex paint in a lively citrus hue. *They cut a length of seagrass wallpaper to fit the inset and topped it with a pane of 1/4-inch glass. We love using chalkboards as backdrops for displays and parties (like this one here!). So we were super excited to learn that you can create your own custom colors-and it's really easy! We first learned how from Martha Stewart whose tutorial you can read here. She recommends that you use latex paint, but we tried it out with acrylic paints with much success. Here's how you too can create your own chalkboard paint... Supplies: 1/2 cup acrylic paint (choose any color you like, or mix colors together to make the perfect shade!)

1. 2. Once your chalkboard has fully dried be sure to slate the surface before using it for the first time. Have fun creating any color combination you like!!

You should count your pearls in front of your jeweler when bringing them in for repair. Your jeweler should record the amount of pearls on the repair envelope and on your receipt. This is an easy measure for your own security and peace of mind. It is that pearls get lost, and fortunately the jewelers we work with are honest and trustworthy. (Outside of that, those few who aren't, usually don't stay in business very long) However, , a pearl could wind up outside of your repair envelope, especially if you bring in loose pearls. Remember: pearls are round little critters and can roll away by default.

Each and every string will stretch over time. If it's done correctly, your necklace will be knotted very tight, to where no pearl (or bead) has room to move. This tight re-knotting can reduce the size of your necklace easily by a couple of inches or more - depending on the length and previous condition of your necklace. That's only natural: the knots themselves add length to your strand. Period.

Paper Fortune Cookie Favors | Flickr - Photo Sharing! - StumbleUpon. WAKE UP! | BLOG: Joel Harris Studio. Blog #1 I had been thinking of starting a blog. After several months of mental reasoning (excuses), some of which include: not enough time, I don’t know how to blog, nobody will read it, how do I connect a blog onto my website, and, what will I blog about?..

I finally had enough excuses…and they were getting me nowhere. So, here it is. My first blog post which I am planning to write often. Every day perhaps. But it is still too soon for me to guarantee a daily post – that sounds like too much commitment for now. I have to write either late at night or early in the morning before Lucy (2 1/2 yr old daughter) wakes up. Applying images onto black under-painting. The WAKE UP! Since creating the WAKE UP!
