This year’s publication will focus on recent innovations in higher education, remaining concerns and obscurity in quality assurance, and other emerging trends. Rockefeller Institute of Government at the University at Albany worked with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to examine the roles that multiple actors play in tackling the effects of the global financial crisis and fostering recovery policies — especially job creation, innovation and wealth generation.

This event was part of the OECD What Works conference series. Discussions examined how internationalization can be leveraged to support economic development in the 21st century. Creative and effective approaches were highlighted against the urgency of a global economic crisis, with job creation, economic recovery policy, human capital development and, above all, innovation at the core of the discussion.
