My first idea was to make 20 up to 30 pictures of couples (couples as in “relationship of several people”), including gay, poly, trans, PoC, and more aged people. I wanted to have a full panel of representations, as the idea was to fight against prejudice.It was my second attempt to work with couples. My previous photo series, “plurals”, leads me nowhere : i only found one poly couple who wanted to shoot.I got the same problem with “après l’amour”. I shot a first preview pictures that i diffused a couple of months on French social media, saying i was looking to shoot more pictures like this one.

The metallic tan ones like this are later models. This one I hadn’t used yet so it tagged along on the Kodak Twin 20’s test. The Bull’s-eye is made of tough bakelite and very basic: one aperture, one shutter speed (I’ve timed the ones I have at around 1/30th sec on average), and a zone focus setting. Negative image size is 6x9cm. The lens on it is actually pretty good - I printed an 11x14 of the image below and the window above the door was surprisingly sharp. I enjoyed shooting with both of them and especially like the 3-aperture versatility of the Twin 20.
