United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The 36th sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), the fifteenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA), the seventeenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) and the first session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (ADP) will take place concurrently from 14 to 25 May. Hardcopies of the Summaries for Policymakers + Technical Summaries are available for free in the 6 UN official languages upon request to the IPCC Secretariat. Hardcopies of the full reports can be purchased from Cambridge University Press . A limited number of free copies are available for academic institutions from developing countries and countries with economies in transition upon request to the Secretariat. LE CONSTAT SCIENTIFIQUE EST AUJOURD’HUI SANS AMBIGUÏTÉ : notre planète se réchauffe à cause des activités humaine et certaines conséquences sont inévitables. Ces avancées scientifiques ont permis une prise de conscience des décideurs, aboutissant à plusieurs décisions politiques (du niveau international au niveau local) pour réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES) et s’adapter aux changements climatiques. Cependant, des actions efficaces, à la hauteur des défis et permettant d’enclencher une transition de nos sociétés vers des modes de vie durables tardent à se mettre en place, au-delà de quelques exemples encourageants mais encore trop peu nombreux. Au niveau politique, comme au niveau du citoyen, un réveil est impératif pour limiter revoir en profondeur nos modes de production et de consommation. Partout, en France et dans le monde, des citoyens initient des changements qui forment une réponse collective et puissante au défi climatique.
