However, in the latest video from the US military team developing a two legged fighting robot, the buildup to 'crane kick' is seen in a new way.
The researchers taught the robot to stand on one leg - recreating a key scene from the film in the process. 'Atlas can walk bipedally leaving the upper limbs free to lift, carry, and manipulate the environment. The researchers taught the robot the trick to show off its balance.
Cloning Hyper-V Virtual Machines the Right Way (Part 2) If you would like to read the other parts in this article series please go to: Introduction In my previous article in this series, I explained that cloning a virtual machine is not quite as intuitive as you might have been lead to believe. Part of the reason for this is that in order for the cloning process to be successful, you need to use Sysprep to strip certain attributes from the host that is being cloned. In this article, I want to continue the discussion by showing you one method that you can use for cloning virtual machines. Running Sysprep As I mentioned in my previous article, in Windows Server 2003, Sysprep was included in the Windows Support Tools, and it therefore had to be installed manually before you could use it. Figure A: This is what the SYSPREP interface looks like As you can see in the figure, the Sysprep interface is pretty simple, but even so it is very important to pick the correct options.

Despite its age, it is still a popular choice for modern programmers. Lisp has proven itself flexible enough to evolve to meet the needs of modern programmers. Modern implementations often come "batteries-included", meaning that the programmer has access to powerful libraries for databases, regular expressions, networking, and more. Lisp comes in different dialects, which are divided into different implementations. How to Reduce the Size of Your WinSXS Folder on Windows 7 or 8. The WinSXS folder at C:\Windows\WinSXS is massive and continues to grow the longer you have Windows installed. This folder builds up unnecessary files over time, such as old versions of system components. This folder also contains files for uninstalled, disabled Windows components. Even if you don’t have a Windows component installed, it will be present in your WinSXS folder, taking up space. Why the WinSXS Folder Gets too Big The WinSXS folder contains all Windows system components.
When Windows installs updates, it drops the new Windows component in the WinSXS folder and keeps the old component in the WinSXS folder. Windows 7 dealt with this by including a feature that allows Windows to clean up old Windows update files after you install a new Windows service pack. However, Windows 7 only saw one service pack — Service Pack 1 — released in 2010. Clean Up Update Files To fix this problem, Microsoft recently backported a feature from Windows 8 to Windows 7. Mesh - Sudo Room. Feb 21: Launched "Snow Crash" release candidate v.0.1.0 - now deploying the first batch of experimental nodes! Oct 25: Launched PeoplesOpen.net our public project page! We are a group of volunteers building a community mesh network in Oakland, California. A mesh network is, in essence, free as in freedom alternative internet.
Using low-cost routers mounted on rooftops and outside of homes, we're currently building the backbone of the mesh throughout the East Bay, from West Oakland to the Fruitvale BART and beyond! Mesh networks are awesome because they don't depend on the existing centralized Internet Service Providers to function. Dishes in Action Join the Mailing List! In July 2013, we successfully concluded our bootstrap crowdfunding campaign on WePay to buy the first 100 wifi routers for the mesh! The FCC changed course on network neutrality. Here is why you should care. Cross-posted from Netarchitecture.org Wednesday's press reports of the new network neutrality rules proposed by FCC Chairman Wheeler have been met with anger and confusion.
According to the Wall Street Journal, "[r]egulators are proposing new rules on Internet traffic that would allow broadband providers to charge companies a premium for access to their fastest lanes. […] [T]he proposal would […] allow providers to give preferential treatment to traffic from some content providers, as long as such arrangements are available on 'commercially reasonable' terms for all interested content companies. Whether the terms are commercially reasonable would be decided by the FCC on a case-by-case basis.
" Yet, in a blog post yesterday, Chairman Wheeler explained that accounts "that the earlier policies of the Commission have been abandoned" are "incorrect. " Who is right? Do the proposed rules abandon earlier FCC policies on access fees? It makes four points: 1. Fees for access to end users 67. 40. 2. Lost Media Wiki. Formatting text - The diaspora* Project. On diaspora* it’s possible to format your text in status messages, comments and conversations using a simplified mark-up system called Markdown. This page gives an introduction to the codes used to create this formatting. The first thing to note is that you must use two line breaks between paragraphs (except items in a list), otherwise the paragraps will run together. If you really want just one line break between two paragraphs, add two spaces at the end of the first paragraph. This is where the Preview button comes in really handy. Try some formatting, preview it, work out what isn’t right, fix it, and preview again, until you’re happy! In the examples below, you can copy the text in the grey areas and paste it into the publisher in diaspora* and use the Preview button to try out some formatting. Headings You can add first-, second- and third-level headings to your message by placing a hash symbol (#) at the start of a line, as follows: Lists Code blocks This is a line of normal text.
